Ladies and gentlemen, we feel very honoured to announce that the Grekaddict team won first place at the “Get In The Ring StartingUP” Athens competition. Get in the Ring is an international organisation that aids startups to get the necessary exposure and to pitch their business models to a series of judges. The organisation is led by highly experienced individuals and business development professionals from around the globe. These judges all share the passion for helping startups to develop and nurture their innovative ideas. The Get in the Ring competitions are organised in all major cities around the world where local and international startups compete for the Final Round – the Global Meet Up 2018 that will take place in Portugal this year.
The Get in the Ring competitions consist of an actual boxing match where two startups are one to one in the ring and answer challenging questions; the final one standing is the winner! This year we had the honour to compete among 4 leading startups in Greece. In the ring, we were evaluated by the professionals that asked us questions throughout the rounds. The last team standing won the prize to go to the Global Meet Up in Portugal and compete among 150 startups from all over the world. Luckily, this year our very own co-founder, Souzana Theodoridou, was the last one standing with a trophy in her hands. This was a team victory that we all worked hard for and it wouldn’t be possible without our mutual support and endless love for Grekaddict!
The global meet up of Get in the Ring competition which will take place in Portugal, is a 3 day event where startups from all over the world will be able to network with business angels, investors and general partners of the event. Throughout the event the contestants will have many opportunities to engage with the potential investors and learn more about the newest trends and developments in the business world through various workshops.
This experience gave us wind beneath our wings and motivated us even further to work harder towards our goals. Again, thank you all for the support. We promise to make you proud in Portugal, wish us luck!
