At the entrance of the village, there is a park in honour of Aristotle, a statue of the philosopher standing proudly, and other ancient monuments. People can sign up for the walk with no more than 3 people in a group, children above the age of 12 can also be a part of this hiking experience. The 15 kilometers can take up to 5 hours at a maximum altitude of 750 meters.
Itinerary of the Artistotle Path – Hiking in Halkidiki
Arrive in the historic village of Stagira, the birthplace of Aristotle, “The Father of Western Philosophy”.
Begin your journey
The walk begins just opposite the hill of Agios Dimitrios, continues onto the Aristotelous Mountain, then moves between hundreds of rare plants and herbs that turn the walk into a historical journey in time.
Stop for the view
Soon after, a clearing will appear which gives view to the beautiful blue sea in the Akanthi and Strymonikos Gulf.rnBegin heading back: There is a small path that will take you to Olympiada, a small town near the sea.
