Getting Around in Lefkada
You can get to Lefkada by using the closest airport in Aktio/Preveza, which is a 30-minute drive away from the island. This small airport, which operates only in the summer, receives charters from European airports and the islands of Zakynthos, Corfu and Kefalonia, but not from Athens. You should also keep in mind that although there are ferries connecting Lefkada with the neighboring islands, there aren’t any to or from the mainland of Greece.
